Carmel Valley Real Estate
Carmel Valley is
located 15 miles north of San Diego, east of I-5 and Del Mar. The area is based
on a master plan created in 1974 that planned the development of residential
neighborhoods on the mesas leaving the canyons as open space. Building began in
1983, and there are now a variety of luxury homes, condominiums, townhouses, and
apartments available.
By the mid-1990s, Carmel Valley had become one of San
Diego’s most popular neighborhoods with shopping centers, movie theaters, and
widespread investment. Served by one of California’s best school districts, Carmel Valley is a top choice for families alike. Executives
and professionals
appreciate the proximity to nearby Sorrento Valley and SR-56, scheduled for
completion in 2004, will open up access to the inland corridor.
Carmel Valley
still offers a great deal of open space for outdoor activities and is located
less than three miles from the Pacific Ocean. Build-out of the area continues, with an increasing number of homes from estates to apartments, making the area
attractive to a wide variety of buyers. Communities include Torrey View, Torrey
Hills, The Sands, and Trilogy.
The newly developed Santa Luz at the east end of
Carmel Valley in the San Dieguito River Valley, is a 3,800-acre village whose
highest knolls offer panoramic views of the coast. With several different
neighborhoods including estate homes and golf course homes, Santa Luz has become
a popular upscale home buying choice. Eastward expansion into Torrey Highlands
along SR-56 continues, and home prices climb every year, making Carmel Valley a
great investment opportunity.
