Clairemont lies south of SR-52, west of I-805 and east of I-5, close
to La Jolla and Mission Bay. Two major canyons define the area--Tecolote
Canyon cuts through the center of the community and San Clemente is on
its northern edge. The community boasts an innovative layout that takes
advantage of the spectacular canyon views with many houses built on the
mesas. Many neighborhoods, such as Bay Park and Bay Ho enjoy views of
Mission Bay and ocean beyond; others have canyon views.
Real estate offerings in Clairemont consist of single-family detached
homes, condominiums and townhouses. Homes in Clairemont Manor, Parkwest,
Colony West and Heritage homes are priced in the low to mid-$400,000s.
Large Jordana Manor homes are priced in the $700,000s, while prices
for estate properties on large lots in Bay Park can exceed $900,000.
Some Clairemont homes have scenic canyon, valley or water views.
Condominiums at Bay Ho range in price from the mid-$100,000s to the
Bay Park townhouses are priced in the mid-$200,000s and those in
Canyon Rim are priced in the $300,000s. A limited amount of land is
available for custom building. The area around Clairemont Village
Shopping Center offers small homes from the post-WWII era and a variety
of apartment complexes, including Clairemont Village.
Commercial areas along Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, Balboa Avenue and
Morena Boulevard provide shopping and services for residents of the
